Misc. sake & food pix:
As usual, we've been enjoying some great sake from different regions...

Award winning Fukusen from Niigata.

Limited edition Shizuku from the famous sake producers Kokusen in Fukui.

Kusudama from Hida (northern Gifu) - already empty, I'm afraid.

"New York Cheesecake" flavour sweets. They do taste like baked cheesecake.

These "7 flavour" chilli crisps are wonderful - only available in Kyoto/Osaka area??
My last meal in Japan was a big bento box, prepared the night before and eaten at the airport. Just as well I'd had a decent breakfast before flying, for the in-flight meals from Nagoya turned out to be terrible! (Not the airline's fault, Nagoya is one of Japan's food black holes...)

Seafood dumpling, grilled miso-cured king mackerel, brown rice on the left; with a plenty of cooked & pickled veg on the right.

Well, at least the assorted starter dish was ok (inc. sashimi!), and we had lots of champagne, so we can't complain...
