Nagoya Castle is very crowded, probably thanks to last night's TV report of this 2-night spectacle.
You can walk around the light sources, and everyone has their camera/mobile out.
Below: UsaKousa standing in the middle and looking up.
Right: Chris among the crowd.
After 9 hours of looking at art, we decide we've seen enough, and hit an izakaya for some food & drink. We're hungry and only take one food photo: deep-fried octopus pieces, and a salad of autumn vegetables with mizuna and crabmeat, with dashi-based gravy. Mmm...
Sunday, 26 September: We continue looking at art in the morning. While waiting for a 10-screen 35mm film screening event by Yang Fudong, we sit outside a nearby cafe for cold drinks.

A plastic swan in the canal in front of us.

Later: a mini apricot tarte, part of my lunch set, being invaded.
Monday, 27 September: Tobacco prices are going up by 35-50% in October. These should last me through the rest of the year though.
Saturday, 2 October: It's the festival weekend in Gifu. Among the usual sweets and snacks stalls, we spot something new: Tornado Potatoes.

Me: "Can I take a photo of you guys?"
Boy1: "What? Do one of him!"
Boy2: "No, not me!"
Little do they know that I have already taken a photo while they are argueing... :-))

A parade of various citizens' and schoolchildren's groups on the main street: pupils of the local Korean school in their colourful traditional costumes.

Boys have to turn their heads 360 degrees and make the ribbons attached to their hats swirl - looks like hard work, but probably a good exercise for the neck muscles.
