| Monday 30 January: Having gone to bed early, we have time for a quick visit to the Fish Market in the morning :-)))) | |
Signs outside a cafe by the harbour. |
There are only a few stands open, all selling kamtchatka crab legs, claws of some other crabs, lobsters, prawns, various fish, fake caviar, etc. etc. At this one I buy a "small" leg, which they chop up for me for easy consumption. |
Back at the hotel: UsaKousa are not sure how to deal with this huge claw. |
Akiko, on the other hand, is extremely happy to try it. |
It's hard work getting all the flesh off the shell, but it's worth it! The leg tasted better than the claw, btw. |
Using a chopstick to get at the small corners, I've done a pretty good job eating all the edible bits. (Apologies for the blurry photo.) |
| Then it's time to head to the airport. Unfortunately our flight to Copenhagen is first delayed, and then cancelled, so we end up hanging around for ages... |
Kids' chairs in the airport cafeteria. |
Beautiful view over Norway as we fly south from Bergen. |
Copenhagen airport: we have an hour to kill, but we don't mind - we can drink and smoke here!!! |
