So it's dinner time again! Akiko decides she's eaten far too much last night, and so skips the first & last courses. This is her starter: Greenland pink prawns bound in Marie-Rose sauce & wrapped in organic Shetland smoked salmon. (Very delicate and delicious!) |
|
And the main course: a selection of Shetland Monkfish, King scallops & sea trout in a creamy garlic sauce, with a gratin topping - it's lighter than it sounds. |
Organic salmon looks good again tonight. (Some others had duck.) The vegetables today are baby boiled potatoes, cauliflower cheese, roast tomatoes & sugarsnap peas. |

Tuesday, 12 September: Up at 7AM, just as the sun is coming up. Akiko goes out with the camera (and fags, of course), while UsaKousa sleep on in our bed. |

After breakfast (lovely haddock!), we hit the road to the airport. This time our flight is only delayed by 20-30 minutes (again, due to bad weather in Faroes), and we are back safely in Stansted by lunchtime, where we all say good-bye and go home. Unfortunately Akiko & UsaKousa's onward flight to Berlin is not until the evening, so we decide to go and sit at the bar of Radisson SAS hotel next door for a few hours. |

The famouse Wine Tower - we didn't see the Wine Angels, though. Apparently they are only in operation from 6:30PM.

You think we must have had enough Scottish smoked salmon by now? You're wrong!
We like the open design of the bar area. If you have a couple of hours to kill at Stansted, we recommend you come over here for a little civilised time, away from the nightmarishly chaotic airport. |

Many thanks to Dan Kirkby of Kirkby Monahan Publicity for getting us over
