18 June: Having got back to our hotel around 2:30AM (thanks to Wolf and Dianne for the lift back into town), we all got up in the late afternoon, and... it was time for lunch! There was another good looking Thai place we spotted yesterday, Salad King, so we headed there... and see another long queue, which must be a good sign...

It's only 1PM, and we've only just got up, but we're on holiday, so why not have some drink to go with our lunch? Alyson opts for Tiger beer, Dave for something local, and bunnies & I have to wait longer for our glass of Sauvignon Blanc.

Our shared starter of crab claws & fish meat in breadcrumbs.

Our stir-fried seafood.

Dave's very coconutty tofu curry.
Some more shopping after lunch (we can't stop buying all those weird flavoured snacks, such as dill pickle flavoured crisps, peanut butter flavoured KitKat, etc. etc.) and then Alyson, UsaKousa and Akiko went for a little walk around town (while Dave went back to the hotel and ended up trying to fix a certain Deep Purple member's mail software problem - the conclusion: "forget Microsoft!" ;-)

Art Gallery of Ontario. It's huge, and we didn't have time to look at the exhibitions, only a quick look in the shop - where Akiko bought a T-shirt that says "Art Matters"...

Down the road from the AGO, this recently built structure, the Sharp Centre, which is an extension of the Art College, was very eye-catching, but I wouldn't like to go up there, looks too scary!
On our way back, walking along the garden of Osgoode Hall, we were surprised to see *lots* of squirrels, bang in the middle of town.

This was the highlight of the afternoon. We came across this statue with a seagull sitting on its head, and I started taking photos without realising whose statue it was (I was pretty far away from it, ok?), just desperate to get some decent shots before the bird decided to fly off (as it turned out, he was a real professional and stayed there for at least 10 minutes, giving me time for plenty of shots.)
And a little further down the road, there were a whole bunch of noisy seagulls, fighting for left-over food on the street, and a couple of guys sitting down on the lawn and feeding them - very brave, these birds are huge and pretty aggressive!
