Sunday 25 April: After a delicious dim sum lunch at Dragon Castle in Elephant & Castle (which was absolutely delicious but I was too busy eating to take any pictures - sorry!) and some shopping afterwards, we meet Dave & Cynthia for dinner at Portobello Organic Kitchen.

After the dinner, Cynthia goes home, but the rest of us carry on drinking and manage to finish this sauvignon blanc. (Thank you for a nice birthday present, Cynthia, it was very nice :-)
Tuesday, 27 April: On board BA005 to Narita, an interesting and refreshing tomato & mozarella terrine with sesamy sauce - like a solidified gazpacho.
Friday, 30 April: Back in Gifu, Hitomi takes us out for a belated birthday lunch at Kogane Hassho. Right: appetizer of octopus with wasabi gelee; a delicate broth with fishcakes made with shrimps in season. Oh, and two different kinds of sake - hence all the glasses :-)

A platter of bunny-sized sushi and chawanmushi (steamed savoury egg dish with seafood & veg.)

The sushi is all delicious, but this prawn one is especially yummy. So is the shiitake with tobiko...

The dessert is bunny-sized too: green tea mousse with very light azuki bean sauce.
