Thursday 29 November: a middle eastern stand at the Albert Cuypstraat market - small, round lemons stuffed with shrimps - apparently used in fish dishes, cous cous, etc. Must try them some time - does anyone have recipes??

At Zushi kaiten sushi bar: Spinach salad & edamame.

Garlic tuna maki - with *lots* of small pieces of roasted garlic - absolutely lethal and delicious!

We couldn't resist the banana pancakes afterwards :-)
Friday 30 November: dinner at home, of very tender cod filets, roasted veg, English tomato & ginger sauce, plus some interesting red cabbage from a local delicatessen (in balsamic vinegar and with raisins & spices.)

Saturday 1 December: shoe shop Cynthia in Leidsestraat.

Later - big fat scallops (10 of them for 12 Euro) being marinated.
The grilled scallops were the starters, followed by a noodle dish with tiger prawns & lots of veg, inc. some of this pointed cabbage - which I'd never seen before. (Someone chopped a bit off the top end before I managed to take a shot... and I was too hungry to take a photo of the noodles.)
