We didn't know anything about the village called Arnarstapi until our driver dropped us off there, for a couple of miles of coastal walk from here to the next village, Hellnar. The coast is full of interesting fock formations and literally hundreds and thousands of kittiwakes (really noisy!) all over the place, all against the background of impossibly blue sea.

... the kittiwakes on the opposite side. There were just so many of them!

Here as well - a lot of the white "spots" in the photo are kittiwakes, sitting against white rocks.

A funny statue (commemorating the guy who first settled here, we believe.)

UsaKousa have found more funny-coloured rocks to pose on.
And so, we head back to Reykjavík - happy, tired and ready for a drink!
